When integrating your Clio account with Docketly, you will be automatically redirected to our custom Clio landing page. This is where you will set up or edit your Docketly client account and provide payment information

If you already have an existing client account with Docketly, please click the  white "login" link to be redirected to the integrations page.  You will be prompted to enter your Docketly user ID and password.  At this point you will bypass the bulk of the registration process and brought to the Clio Integrations page to configure.   you Once you click the orange "Configure" button you will be prompted to give Docketly access to your Clio account.  Please see Configuring Clio below.


If you do not have an existing client account with Docketly, click the orange “Sign Up Now” button.  This will take you to the client registration page.

Please note: If you have an already existing Docketly attorney account, your browser may autofill the username and password fields on the first page with that information.  You will need to write over this field with a unique username specifically for your Docketly client account.

You must read through and sign our Terms of Use in order to continue.  If you wish to save a copy, click the blue "Download" button.  To sign, you will need to draw a signature in the "Draw Your Signature" section using your mouse or finger (if on a mobile device), put a check mark next to "I agree" and select the orange "Submit" button.   Follow this link to learn more about our Terms of Use.

Configuring Clio - At this point in the registration process, you will be prompted to give Docketly access to your Clio account. Click “Allow Access” to integrate with Docketly. Hovering over the question mark icons will provide more context to the permissions being granted.  These permissions can be revoked later, at any point, however, they cannot be revoked on an individual basis.  They are all granted, or all denied. If you wish to revoke these permissions from Docketly, simply navigate to the App Integrations Page on Clio. Alternatively, you can deauthorize from the Docketly side by navigating to Docketly's Integrations Page and clicking "deauthorize"

You have now fully integrated your Clio account with Docketly and will be taken to the Hearing Edit Page.  If you wish to order appearance counsel with Docketly, you will place an order here.  To learn more about ordering appearance counsel with Docketly, please follow this link.

After creating your hearing, you will have a button that reads “View Clio Matter”. This button will take you back to Clio. You will also see changes on the Clio side with two additional links under “More Actions”.  If you don’t see “More Actions”, then log out and log back in, and it will appear.

Please note: You are allowed to order 1 hearing without having billing set up. After ordering your first hearing, you will be prompted to set up your wallet. Follow this link to learn more about setting up your wallet.

Now that you have integrated Clio with Docketly,  you can click the link “Order Hearing Coverage” at any time to order an appearance with Docketly.  If you have a wallet set up, you will immediately be redirected to the hearing edit page.  If this is your first time working with the hearing edit page,  please reference this documentation for guidance.
