Adding a Hearing to a Covered Bundle

Once a bundle has been created and published, hearings may be added to that bundle but two different scenarios will occur. The first and least complicated would be adding a hearing to a bundle that has not been selected by an attorney to be covered.  That case is covered here: Adding a Hearing to Uncovered Bundles. The second would entail "offering" that hearing to an attorney to cover as part of the previously published and accepted bundle.

We will cover the second scenario in this post.

To begin with, you will need to select the corresponding bundle and "Offer Hearing" to that bundle. 

To offer a hearing(s), click on the "Bundles". You can find the link to "Bundles" under the grey "More" button on the bottom of the left side of your page.

You will then be taken to the Bundle List Page, which displays all your current available bundles, unpublished as well as published. Select the bundle you would like to add a hearing to by clicking on the underlined portion with the Date and Time of that hearing.

This will take you to the Bundle view page, which displays bundle pricing and information. To offer a new hearing click on the orange "Bundle" button. The next page will show an orange "Offer Hearing" button on the upper left side of the information box.

When you click "Offer Hearing, you will see a pop-up that reads: 

Are you interested in adding another hearing to this bundle? 

If so, you will create a hearing as a single hearing. It the same attorney covers this hearing, it will be added to the bundle and the prices will be adjusted.

What this means:  When you are creating the hearing you wish to add to the bundle, you will not see the bundle discount right away. However, if the attorney currently scheduled to cover the bundle accepts this hearing, discounts and rates will automatically apply.

After reading and understanding the Pop-up box, click "Ok". You will be taken to the Hearing Edit page. Please fill out this form with as much information as possible to better prepare appearance counsel to meet your expectations in the courtroom. (Anything with a red asterisk * next to it is required.) Then click the orange "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.

Please note: you will not be able to edit the State, County, court, or Hearing date. This information is locked as part of the bundle.

At this point, the covering attorney will be notified that a hearing is available to cover as part of their currently accepted bundle.  The attorney can accept or decline this hearing. In most cases, an attorney will likely accept this new hearing. However, if the attorney declines to accept it, the hearing can not be added as part of the bundle and discounts no longer apply. This may happen in the case where the attorney has a conflict with the defendant. However, another attorney in our network will pick up this hearing.
