Bundle Offers
Offers on bundles are very similar to offers on hearings (learn more here), but there are a few extra details you'll need to look out for. When an attorney puts in an offer on a bundle, the amount they request will be spread across all of the hearings. So, for example, if they request $150 for 3 hearings, you would see a $150 on the bundle level, and a $50 offer on each of those three hearings. If you would like to consider an offer on hearings in a bundle, here's how:
First navigate to the bundle overview page by clicking the button at the top of the hearing that says "Bundle":
Then click the link in the lefthand menu called "Offers":
This will bring you to the "Bundle Offers" page shown below:
This page allows you to consider and easily accept (or decline) an offer on a bundle. Each hearing in the bundle is shown, along with an overview at the bottom displaying the breakdown of the requested price, the change from your current list price, and the time when the offer was put in. If there are multiple offers, you'll see those grouped into categories. From here, you can click the green "Authorize" buttons if you'd like to authorize price increases ONLY on individual hearings OR you can use the brightly colored buttons at the base of each bundle offer to Accept, Decline, or Counteroffer on the whole bundle with one click.
The green, red, and yellow buttons at the bottom of each offer are the most important features of this page.
Green: Accept Bundle Offer
Clicking "Authorize" sets things into motion. The price of the hearing is automatically adjusted to match the offer total, divided across the hearings. The attorney who made the offer is notified of the increase and encourage to confirm coverage as soon as possible. Circumstances may have changed since they made the offer, so we can’t commit them without their consent. If the attorney does not cover the hearing within a reasonable amount of time, Docketly will make the offer available to all attorneys in our network at this new price.
Red: Decline Bundle Offer
Clicking "Decline Bundle Offer" is a way to indicate that you were not interested in any part of the offer. We will notify the attorney in case they were waiting to complete their schedule. You are not required to decline offers but it is a courtesy if you do see offers that are solidly out of your price range.
Yellow: Counter Bundle Offer
A "counteroffer" is basically a negotiation back to the attorney; you're saying, "I won't accept your full offer, but I'm willing to make a smaller increase to secure coverage." This option brings you to a new page where you can enter the total amount you are willing to pay for the bundle in the field called "Counteroffer Amount." This number should be less than the offer total, but more than the current list price.
Once you click "Yes, Counteroffer," our system will reprice the full bundle, distributing the increase across all of the hearings. Then we automatically notify the attorney whose offer you have chosen to counter. If they do not accept within an hour, we will also notify other attorneys, who may be interested in covering the bundle at the increased rate.
