What is the Docketly Assistant?

The Docketly Assistant is an AI-powered chat tool built directly into your Docketly dashboard. It's designed to help your team get quick answers about the platform, your hearings, and how to take action — without needing to submit a ticket or wait for a response from the Docketly team.

The Docketly Assistant is available to all active client users and can be accessed at any time from your dashboard.

What Can the Docketly Assistant Help With?

The Assistant is best used for fast, self-service answers. Common use cases include:

  • Platform navigation – "Where do I find my hearing reports?" or "How do I add a new user?"

  • Hearing status questions – "What does 'Uncovered' mean?" or "Why hasn't my hearing been assigned yet?"

  • How-to guidance – "How do I upload hearing attachments?" or "How do I create a bundle?"

  • Understanding your data – "What is Mean-Time-To-Cover?" or "How is my firm's score calculated?"

  • Handbook lookups – Finding relevant articles without having to browse the full Handbook.

What the Assistant Cannot Do

The Docketly Assistant is a knowledgeable guide, but there are things it cannot handle directly:

  • It cannot make changes to your account, hearings, or settings on your behalf.

  • It cannot resolve coverage issues — those still go through the Docketly team via a ticket.

  • It cannot access confidential case information from outside the Docketly platform.

For anything requiring direct action or escalation, the Assistant will guide you to the right resource — whether that's submitting a ticket, contacting your Success Manager, or pointing you to a Handbook article.

Where to Find It

The Docketly Assistant is accessible from the chat icon in the right hand side of your dashboard. It's available on every page, so you never have to leave what you're doing to ask a question.
