Mapping
The crux of setting up EDI is figuring out the mapping – your X is our Y. Docketly offers two different approaches. One isn't better than the other. It just depends on your starting point and preference.
Our Format
The following pages will document Docketly's format: the field names that Docketly uses internally to name our data fields. These will always be different than what you use. If you are starting this EDI project from scratch and have the flexibility to name your headers, you can use this reference to figure out what we call each thing and name it as such in the files you send to Docketly. When you receive files from us, they will follow the Docketly naming convention as well.
Your Format
If your case management software already produces files that contain hearing information, you are on your way. We just need you to explain to Docketly's system what the columns contain. Docketly lets you do this through a self-service configuration screen at https://docketly.com/edi/setup.
Need a Sample File?
If the firm has mapping setup, you can download a CSV with the column headers at your convenience. This can be found on the Batch Upload Page (Found under the "tasks" drop-down along the top bar of the website). If the firm has multiple states, be sure to select the state you plan to upload.
*Clients that don't have mapping setup will have Docketly data fields in their download.
You can also find this information on the EDI Setup Page under the "Import" tab.
